Microsoft just announced Office Web Apps preview program for Word , Excel and PowerPoint online applications . Office Web App is Microsoft’s answer to Google for accomplishing similar online office tools in Google Docs . Currently Microsoft Office Web App preview program lets you to open Word ,PowerPoint and Excel documents on browsers like ,Opera ,Safari , Chrome ,Internet Explorer and Firefox . Microsoft Office OneNote Webapp will be added later . Like Office 2010 beta program released few days back, Microsoft Office Webapps preview is also in invited mode . But you can try Office Microsoft Office Web Apps without invitation if you have a Windows Live and SkyDrive account .We discussed Windows SkyDrive while dealing with free online storage and backup services . The technical preview of Office Webapp is accessible via SkyDrive interface .
Now create a Windows Live ID and SkyDrive account at SkyDrive.live.com
After completion ,upload any Office document to your Windows SkyDrive account in my documents folder .Now you will see an invitation link above the just uploaded Office document . Click on that and accept the terms to continue to testing technical preview of Microsoft Office Webapp without invitation .
SkyDrive interface will be then expanded with options to create new Microsoft Excelworkbook ,Microsoft word Document ,PowerPoint presentation and OneNote notebook . Editing function and Microsoft OneNote application are currently not available .
Office 2010 beta is now available for download with free product activation keys.
